Jess’s story

Jessica Manna is a dive professional with experience spanning Malaysia, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, India, Thailand, Iceland, Egypt, Oman, Australia, Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean, and the United States. Shore or boat, liveaboard or day trip, drysuit to skinsuit: she’s dived it all.

When you dive with Jess, you can expect an experience grounded in safety, best practices and skill development. She has a particular passion for working with new and returning divers.

Where it started

Jess draws her inspiration from her mom, Shawn, who before she passed away was a licensed yacht captain, commercial able seaman and master diver. Shawn raised Jess on a boat in South Florida and gave her a lifelong love of the ocean.

Today

Jess lives in the New York metro area with her diver-husband, Murali, and four non-diving pets. When she’s not diving, she loves hiking, camping, RVing, Bollywood music and Hindi films. She comes from a long line of adventurous women, and feels her mom’s presence on every dive.

Beyond the water

Jess is a marketing executive with more than 20 years in financial services. She holds an MBA and numerous certifications, is a frequent industry speaker, and her teams have been honored with more than 15 awards for marketing excellence. She brings the same planning, preparation and attention to detail to every dive.
